e-Asia Conference Ends [PICS]

The e-Asia conference has came to an end. The last day of the conference was the most exciting one. Two mega seminars “Meet the Technology Leader” with Intel VP John Devais and “Freelancing Seminar” with oDesk COO cum VP Matt Cooper and renowned freelancer Bernard Vukas held on the day.

The first seminar of John Devais started 9 in the morning at BICC’s Fall of Fame. Dr. Jafar iqbal, famous sci-fi writer of Bangladesh, hosted the seminar. John Devais shared his life story with the audience. Good number of questions came from the audience including opening Intel R&D office in Bangladesh. John Devais gave hope about those issues.

Second seminar was at 11 with jam-packed seminar room. oDesk COO cum VP Matt Cooper, renowned freelancer Bernard Vukas and local freelancer Al-Amin were speakers of the seminar. Matt Cooper shared data on Bangladesh’s growth on the largest freelancing site till today. Bernard Vukas shared his story of starting freelancing and who he reached position he is in today. Al-Amin gave some tips to the audience. The QA session was full of questions including paypal in Bangladsh. If you don’t know, Paypal is not available in Bangladesh yet. Bangladesh’s ICT minister Yafes Osman answered about the topic behalf of the Govt. Session ended after a roar for PayPal from the audience. This video is taken by Bernard Vukas himself.

The expo part of the conference ended at 2pm. Bangladesh president announced the conference end in the closing ceremony at evening.
